We had a good season last year. We should be proud of the progress we made as a club.

Securing former Central Coast Mariners legend Patrick Zwaanswijk as technical director for our academy proved to be a resounding success.
The academy’s achievements are measured with various yardsticks.

Of particular importance is the improvement of our players as footballers and people. I believe the academy has given our players a big boost in these areas.

Patrick’s knowledge of the game and status as a former player and current youth coach lifted the club and its ambition.

When I reflect on how our teams performed, I’m proud of the progress we made.

We’ve closed the gap on our counterparts in every area of the beautiful game.

Gosford players matched their adversaries on a physical level (strength, stamina and agility), especially among the older age groups.
On a technical and tactical level, the benefits of Patrick’s coaching were clear. The players improved their skills, standards and awareness of the game.

Abbey Van Gemert was our first player to progress from Gosford to the Mariners Academy.
Paul Vlandis was also successful in progressing to the Mariners Development Squad.
